Soft Block Printing

Not scheduled at this time – please contact Karen if you are interested in this workshop.

Interested in creating your own block–printed cards or fine art prints? Learn all the basics of printmaking with soft blocks (similar to, but much easier to work with, than linoleum block or wood block printing) and non–toxic, water–soluble inks. You will learn how to design and cut the block for printing, and how to ink and print greeting cards and fine art prints. Call to reserve a spot, or sign up online!

If you like, bring some images you might like to make block prints of – drawings? Photographs? We'll be carving 4"x 6" blocks.

Date & time: Saturday to be scheduled (one-day workshop)
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – bring your lunch!
Location: Calistoga Art Center, Napa County Fairgrounds, Cropp Building, 1435 North Oak Street, Calistoga, CA
Cost: $85, materials not included – CAC members receive a 10% discount. You may pre–register at http://www.calistogaartcenter.org
Materials fee: $15 (paid to instructor at time of workshop)
