Create Your Own Mixed Media Art Cards
On hold for now — possibly to be scheduled in 2024? Let Karen know if you're interested!
Create art cards with acrylic paints, relief printing, stencils, collage, fabric, photographs, and more.
You'll learn how to use each of these methods, how to combine them to create mixed media art, and how to create unique, original greeting cards from them — for the holidays or any occasion!
You'll learn how to use each of these methods, how to combine them to create mixed media art, and how to create unique, original greeting cards from them — for the holidays or any occasion!
There's a wide range of what you can do with these, and a wide variety of what you can create!
Then, turning what you create into smaller individual art pieces enables you to try plenty of new things — and you will wind up with a series of fun individual pieces that you can give to your family and friends — or keep and frame, if you like!

Mixing your media and methods with acrylic paints gives you so many possibilities, and approaching it with an attitude of discovery, playfulness, and experimentation gets you off to a great start.
Art Cards Created by Participants for The Grateful Hearts Project
These heart-themed mixed media art cards were created by community members who made them as part of The Grateful Hearts Project, in 2018, to send to firefighters who came from all over the western United States, and Canada and Australia, to defend us from the Northern California wildfires in 2017.
These cards were created using the methods we'll be learning and working with in this class — methods that you can take in any number of directions, depending on your own ideas, vision, and inspiration. It's a ton of fun!
