Have you ever wanted to just be creative with paint, without stressing about how things will turn out?
No drawing needed, just an opportunity to play and make fun stuff? This workshop may be just what you are looking for!

The process of creating mixed media paintings is all about exploration, discovery, and experimentation.
You'll learn to combine acrylic paint with various mixed media techniques to create artwork that is fun and engaging — and you'll come home with at least two paintings and a practice sampler.
More specifically, you'll learn how to:
- apply acrylic paint to your canvas (or surface to be painted) using several different methods
- add special papers — art papers, laser printed papers, newspapers, tissue papers, maps, wrapping papers, and more — to your paintings with collage
- create your own art papers for collage
- combine paint and collage, using layering techniques to create a rich and interesting surface and intriguing effects
- use stencils to create patterns, images, letters, or numbers in your painting
- create your own stencils from your own photographs or drawings, using a simple method
- use a variety of tools to print patterns and textures directly on to your painting
- create your own relief printing and collage materials from items you can find anywhere, whether around your home or at the dollar store.
If you've painted before, these methods will transform your mixed media paintings — from something interesting but ordinary, to something extraordinary and fabulous.
