Adventures in Mixed Media: Paint, Paper, Fabric, & Collage
Coming again in 2016!
Do you ever wish you could just create paintings in a way that feels like a child at play? No stress, no worrying about whether you can draw or not, just plain fun? Mixed media collage with acrylics may be just what you dreamt of....
Learn how to combine acrylic painting, special papers, fabric, photographs, text, and other mixed media techniques to make entirely new creations!
If you like, come with old paintings on paper, special or interesting papers, fabric, drawings, xerox copies (not inkjet copies) of your own photographs (old family photos? snapshots of family and friends? your own landscape photos or photos from your travels?), or other collage elements you have at home (lace? rubber stamps?) that you'd like to incorporate into artwork.
More materials will be waiting for you to create with at the workshop. Come and create, and go home with two or more paintings! This workshop is about playing with the elements of art in creative and experimental ways, and is designed for both beginning and experienced painters. It's a great way to give yourself a creative jump start!
